It is Thanksgiving week on General Hospital. While some of our favorite characters have so much to be thankful for others…….not so much.
Molly opens the door to TJ, who bursts into tears on her shoulder. He tells her of what he just learned from Shawn and Jordan: How his father learned of their affair and tried to kill Shawn in a jealous rage and how Shawn shot him in self-defense. Molly reminds TJ of how much Shawn loves him and encourages him to talk to Shawn when Shawn arrives.
Meanwhile Jordan is at the docks, fretting over TJ. Her superior at the bureau intercepts her, asking her to step up her game. Why is she hanging out with Shawn when she is supposed to investigate Julian’s boss? Jordan promises to focus on her job.
In the Port Charles jail Julian comes clean with Alexis. He explains someone made himself to look like Luke to orchestrate revenge on Sonny. The first thing this person did was recruit Julian while they were in witness protection. He ordered a hit on Lucas when Julian tried to back out. Alexis realizes that Rick was innocent all long and that Julian has no idea who his boss really is.
At the Wyndemere stables, Anna, Sloane, Dr. Obrecht, Britt, and Nikolas are horrified to learn that Faison is not where Anna said he would be. Anna insists that Robert hired a WBS agent to pose as a stable boy to keep Faison alive in the catacombs under the stables. When they question the stable hand, he admits Faison escaped nearly a year ago—and he had been giving Robert false reports.
Patrick and Sam arrive at the Quartermaine mansion with the flash drive they found in Larry’s safe deposit box downloaded into Sam’s phone. Together with Lulu and Tracy they learn that Faison never returned to prison and was sent to Spoon Island—and that there is a blueprint of a hi-tech mask similar to the one Faison wore to impersonate Duke Lavery on the disk. Obviously it’s Luke, so who is wearing the Luke mask?
In Miscavgie Luke comes face to face with his evil doppelganger. Faux Luke taunts him, leading Luke to believe that he is Larry Ashton wearing a Luke mask. Faux Luke says that if he is Larry, then who is acting as the Larry in the Quartermaine mansion? Later we see a man smoking a cigar on the docks. The camera pans up to a familiar evil grin framed by crazy hair. Faison! Has he been posing as Luke this whole time?
Thanksgiving arrives in Port Charles. Alexis calls Sam to say she will miss the family dinner because she has to help a client. She neglects to mention that it’s Julian—and if she gets him out on bail, he will take her to the real Luke. Sam is about to celebrate the holiday alone with Danny when Patrick invites her to join him and Emma at Elizabeth’s house.
Jake wakes up from a bad dream and helps Elizabeth prepare for their Thanksgiving feast. Elizabeth gives him a blue shirt with khakis that Jake seems to hate, but Jake insists it’s because he wants to stand on his own feet. He feels like Elizabeth has given him too much. Elizabeth insists she has not and urges him to take it. After all, he only has two items of clothing to his name and he can’t walk around naked—not that Elizabeth would mind. Later as Elizabeth is in the kitchen basting the turkey, the doorbell rings. Jake answers it to …Helena?! Jake doesn’t recognize Helena and we wonder if Helena knows who he is. She refuses to tell him her name yet wants to know all about him. When Jake fetches Elizabeth from the kitchen, Helena disappears. Later Helena watches as Patrick, Sam, Jake, Elizabeth and the children sit down for dinner.
Jake may have no idea who Helena is, but Luke does! Faux Luke has Luke back in the straightjacket and drugged up. Helena pays Luke a visit. Luke thinks she is a hallucination until she touches him. Later Helena bumps into Alexis and Julian. Strangely, she lets them in without much fuss. Alexis rushes into Luke’s cell to untie him—but is it really him or his evil twin?
At the Quartermaine mansion Michael is about to sign paperwork that will change his name from Michael Corinthos III to Michael Alan Quartermaine. Carly interrupts to beg for his forgiveness, but Michael informs her that he no longer wants anything to do with her or Sonny. Carly gets upset when Michael paints AJ as a saint. She explains how Jason named Michael and took care of him when she or AJ could not and how the Q’s saw Michael as a possession rather than a child. Michael doesn’t care; they never lied to him about who shot his father!
Duke has a short visit with Sonny in Pentonville where Sonny says he made a deal with Scotty for Carly to go free—and he will do the same for Duke! Duke is touched and is further flattered when Sonny asks him to take over his “coffee” business. Seeing as Shawn, who as an enforcer, can barely make a shot, Duke would make a better person to head the business aspect of Sonny’s organization.
Duke then heads to the police station where Anna has just been informed by Sloane that once Faison is found, she will probably head to prison for trying to kill him. Duke calls Anna out on her hypocrisy (not trusting the law to punish Faison). Anna argues that her actions are different from Duke’s. Duke was trying to cover up a murder for Sonny; she did what she did to protect him and her family. Duke doesn’t see the difference and they have a huge fight, which ends with Anna sadly putting a photo of herself and Duke into a drawer.
Carly goes to see Sonny in prison where Sonny admits no one is bothering him. He is doing okay, as long as he takes his bi-polar medication and does some breathing exercises to manage the claustrophobia. Carly lets it slip that Michael moved into the Quartermaine mansion—and changed his name. This hurts Sonny a lot.
At the Quartermaine mansion the Q’s get ready for dinner. Larry sees Sam and Danny leave and learns from Michael that Sam isn’t married to Patrick after all—which tips him off to the fact that they are investigating him. Dante, Lulu, and Olivia arrive as Monica announces that while the Thanksgiving feast looks wonderful, Cook 2 got food poisoning, so it’s pizza again for everyone! As Alice swoops in with the pies, Alexis arrives with a special guest: Luke!
Spencer, dressed as a pilgrim, greets Dr. O at the front door. While she is happy to spend the holiday with Britt and Nathan, she can’t help but worry about Faison. However, her worry is short-lived when she spies him through the patio doors. Faison makes himself known, but only after Helena reminds him to stay on task. Hm…
What do you think, GH fans? Who is wearing the Luke mask? What task does Helena have in mind for Faison? Is the real Luke back or is Faux Luke playing another game?
